Megan Denise Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model. After having a successful career as a model, Fox launched her acting career in 2001, in which she played a supporting role as Brianna Wallace in Holiday In The Sun, starring oppoiste Ashley Olsen. Fox then guest starred in various television series, including What I Like About You and Two and a Half Men. Fox then appeared as a supporting character in the short-lived television series The Help in 2004. Then Fox appeared as a main character in the television series Ocean Ave from 2002-2003.[1] Then Fox became better known for playing Sydney Shanowski on the popular television series Hope and Faith from 2004-2006, replacing Nicole Paggi.[2]
In 2004 Fox starred opposite Lindsay Lohan in Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen and in the television movie Crimes Of Fashion. Fox's breakout role was playing Mikaela Banes, Shia Labeouf's character's love interest in the 2007 blockbuster film Transformers, a role for which Fox won and was nominated for various Teen Choice Awards.[3] In 2008 Fox appeared as a minor character in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People and Whore. In 2009 Fox will reprise her role as Mikaela Banes in the sequel to Transformers—Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and as the lead role Jennifer Check in Jennifer's Body.[4] As of May 2009, Fox is filming the 2010 film Jonah Hex, Fox also has recently signed onto star as the lead role in the upcoming film The Crossing,[5][6][7][8] and has reportedly been planning on creating a film adaption of the comic book series Fathom, in which Fox will play the title character and also serve as producer.[9] Fox is also rumored to have roles in the forthcoming films Ironclad and Passion Plays.
