So True? So False? Will and Kate Charging Admission to Meet Them During U.S. Visit?!
Did you hear that Prince William and his new bride, Kate Middleton, are actually charging people to be be in their royal presence during their trip to California next month?
Well, fellow commoners, we did some good ol' Yankee investigatin' and determined that...
It's so true!
But remember, it is for charity, so it's all good. If you can afford it.

The couple, who arrive in California on July 8 for a two-night stay, will hit Santa Barbara during the trip for a charity polo match that Wills himself will play in. Kate will be there to present the winning team's captain with the trophy. And support her hubby, of course.
If you've got a spare $4,000 lying around you can get up close and personal with the couple, who will be sitting pretty in the Santa Barbara Polo and raquet club's VIP section. (Uh,duh.)
The 4G's gets a single ticket to get into the super upscale section, which of course will be ultra-tight with security detail.
For those that have to pay rent or bills, or you know, eat, a much better rate is also being offered to hang with the royal couple. You won't be getting up close with this ticket (being sold for $400) but you'll be able to gawk at the duo from your spot somewhere far away from the VIP section.
Meanwhile, higher rollers with an extra $25,000 to burn can purchase a table and chow down with the royals at the black-tie BAFTA Brits to Watch dinner at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on July 9.
The dynamic duo plan to hit the ground running as soon as they arrive in L.A. Their first-day plans include a private reception at the Beverly Hilton in support of United Kingdon Trade and Investment.
Also on their itinerary are stops at the Inner-City Arts School in the heart of Skid Row and then at Sony Studios in Culver City to attend the Service Nation: Mission Serve job fair being put on for veterans.
